WHITE HOUSE – Bryan Dixon scored on a sweep right for a two point conversion with 2:05 left as White House rallied from a 13-0 deficit to defeat Portland, 14-13, in the second annual alumni game.
Gordon Keene scored the touchdown on a one-yard quarterback sneak to make it 13-12 then Dixon scampered right for the game winner.
Portland faced 3rd down and 40 after Mike Hyde forced a sack and intentional grounding penalty with 34 seconds left, but two consecutive illegal participation penalties put the ball at midfield for the final two plays. George Carroll handed off to Anthony Lynch, who was tripped up by Joseph Davis, then a spike to stop the clock led to an incomplete pass to end the game.
Earlier, Josh Mansfield caught a 30-yard touchdown pass in the far corner of the endzone to make it 13-6 in the third quarter.
Portland got touchdown runs from Derek Boyd and Cole Norris plus an automatic PAT point on an illegal rush. The second two point conversion attempt was no good.
The two teams are 1-1 after Portland rallied in the pouring rain for a 14-7 win in 2014.
